Galapagos Villa/Boat Program
Staying at the villa offers a unique and exclusive Galapagos experience. Your wildlife experience begins on the property, where you'll see: marine iguanas, sea lions, rays, lava gulls, frigatebirds, pelicans, blue-footed boobies, night herons, sally lightfoot crabs, Darwin finches, yellow warblers and a number of other birds. We custom tailor our itineraries to make a trip design specifically to meet your interests. On a live aboard cruise you have approximately four hours per day where you are ashore viewing wildlife; the villa/boat program is all custom and chartered so you can leave in the morning when you want to leave and return in the afternoon when you want to return. If you want to spend six hours or more on an island seeing the wildlife and taking photos, this program allows that flexibility.
The feedback we have had from our past guests has told us they have not felt they have compromised on the wildlife viewing, but rather gained from the experience by the custom tailoring, which has offered them more of a vacation-like atmosphere than the more regimented cruises.
Why a villa/boat program versus a traditional yacht program?
From the villa you will be able to visit many of the islands that the yacht programs do, but at your own pace. You will be able to observe most of the wildlife that yacht itineraries have, but in a more intimate way. The villa is located in a strategic area, which allows you to see and do than the traditional yacht excursions. You will be able to visit different islands in a private boat during the day and return for a fabulous dinner on your villa terrace under some amazing skies. On a villa-based experience, the excursions are actually longer. You will be on your OWN time - rather than a regimented boat time and itinerary. You willl have your own exclusive guide who works only with your family/group and caters to your specific interests, with the flexibility to modify the trip as you go. You will be able to stop your boat when you see aschool of dolphins or turtles or sea lions, and dive in and swim with them! Sample activities that can be included are: kayaking, SCUBA diving, mountain biking in the highlands, hiking to the top of the volcano, cabling down one of the lava tunnels, swimming with penguins and so much more.
