Day 1 – Lima
Arrival to Lima and airport meet and greet; transfer to your hotel. Luxury, boutique and deluxe options are available.

Day 2 – Lima Exploration
Visit pre-Hispanic and colonial sites with your erudite guide, as well as the Larco Herrera Museum. Here the museum’s curator gives an insider’s look at the stunning collection. Enjoy cocktails at the elegant Casa Aliaga, and a special dinner reservation at one of Lima’s top restaurants.

Day 3 – Pisac
Morning transfer to the airport and check-in assistance for Cusco flight. Airport meet and greet and transfer to Sacred Valley, which is at a lower altitude, making for easier acclimatization. Visit the nearby village of Pisac to explore the impressive ruins and terracing overlooking the valley; a hike takes you down from the ruins and into the village, known for its handicrafts market. After the visit dine on Peruvian delicacies with a gourmet picnic; continue on to your hotel.

Day 4 – Ollantaytambo and Chinchero
This morning visit Ollantaytambo, an attractive village with a hillside fortress. Lunch will be at Hacienda Huayo Ccari, owned by the region’s oldest land-owning family; treat yourself to a several-course meal as you enjoy panoramic valley views. After lunch visit Chinchero, where you’ll have a private demonstration from one of the area’s finest weavers.

Day 5 – Machu Picchu
Transfer to the train station for the Hiram Bingham luxury train to Aguas Calientes for a two-hour ride through cloud forest. Your guide will take you through the ruins; lunch will be à la carte at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 6 – Machu Picchu
Visit the ruins to watch the morning unfold; you’ll a full day to explore areas like the Inca Bridge or Huayna Picchu. Return to Cusco by train in late afternoon. Pre-dinner cocktails will be served in the bar, and later a four-course dinner in the dining cars. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 7 – Cusco Exploration
Begin the day with a walking tour of Cusco. Follow narrow streets filled with Inca stonework to sites like the Temple of the Sun (Korikancha), the Plaza de Armas to see the juxtaposition of Inca and Colonial architecture, and La Merced or San Francisco cathedrals. In the afternoon visit Cusco’s best shopping areas for high quality handicrafts.

Day 8 – Lima
Airport transfer and check-in assistance for Lima flight; airport meet and greet and full day of driver and guide services for explore Barranco, Lima’s art district. Transfer to the airport for your international flight home this evening.
