"We arrived home safe and sound last night. There was mixed feelings about coming home, Owen and I could have gone on and on but poor Bella had had enough (the food poisoning in Rio triggered that reaction) and Ronny although he would have liked to have gone on wanted to get back into the routine and our lives here in Australia.

We have had an extraordinary holiday the places and people we have seen and met will stay with us forever and we are all talking about what we would like to do next in South America. All of this is thanks to your expertise in pulling our very vague ideas together into a workable itinerary. We all loved being out in the outdoors pushing ourselves on hikes, bike rides, kayaking and horse riding. We all have our favourite places and experiences but we all agree the cruise on the Comerant was outstanding. After so much discussion regarding what boat we would go on we made the right decision. Being on a small boat was much more intimate, the food, staff and our guide Fausto Rodriguez were outstanding. We made many friends on the cruise who I am sure we will keep in contact with including the Irish priest, the wild boys from USA and the other fun couples from NY, Tuson, and Australia.

Having guides meet us at every airport is truly a luxury in overseas travel which we have never experienced and it certainly made the negotiating of airports and cities so much easier. The knowledge, experience and pure love of the places the guides were representing shone in them all. Although we never did make it to the Explorer in Patagonia (the initial reason we wanted to go to South America in the first place) our experience was not dampened as The Singular stood out to us all as one of the best parts of the trip. The hotel was amazing but the excursions and the guides were fantastic, we are still laughing about the 80's songs we sang in the van."
