Latin Excursions & Scalesia Foundation

Latin Excursions is committed to supporting the Galapagos Islands’ future through the Scalesia Foundation with a portion of all trips to the Galapagos Islands being donated to the Foundation. The Scalesia Foundation focuses on youth education – their goal is to make today’s youth lifelong learners who actively participate in local and global communities, critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, effective communicators in Spanish and English, passionate about their society and environment, and committed to the sustainable development of the Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador. “The children of the world are the hope for its future,” is part of the Foundation’s credo; they believe that education is one of the best tools to ensure sustainability, particularly in such a fragile ecosystem as the Galapagos.

Latin Excursions also believes that investing in youth is the best way to implement change, and we are proud to support such a worthy organization.
