Thank you so much for a wonderful trip. At the estancia, service was phenomenal. Enjoyed all tours that were included in our package…”

We are delighted to have made the trip and are more than pleased by the quality and level of service provided by Latin Excursions and your sub-contractors. Carol and I are both experienced travelers and plan most of our trips independently; however, using LE in planning our first South American venture materially enhanced the quality of the trip and was well worth the time and expense involved.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, just wish it was a bit longer. Ending the trip in BA was great - gave us some time to enjoy the city sights and culture before heading home. The City Tour should be on everyone's agenda. It adds so much flavor to the city and culture.”

Dear Angela,
Thanks so much for planning a truly memorable trip..We loved every hotel, every guide, every sight…it was a sheer joy to be in Argentina and we will look forward to our next journey.  Thanks so much for your diligence, patience, and thoughtful planning. The trip was simply the best--perhaps one of our all time favorites--thank you thank you.”

Argentina: Buenos Aires, Iguazu, Mendoza, Bariloche

Just a quick note to say we had a wonderful time in Argentina. Norm and I have never traveled with a pre-set itinerary before, but our friends have and we would recommend it. We were so well looked after and it was so nice to be greeted at each stop of our trip and not have to look for hotels. Wanderlust Expeditions went out of their way to make the trip enjoyable. We didn't expect them to find us a hotel in Bariloche when the snow kept us from doing anything, but they did and picked us up a few days earlier and made up for the side trips that we weren't able to do there as the trails were closed.

Argentina is such a vast country and so beautiful. We found the people helpful and easy to talk to and would recommend this country and your company to friends. Thank you for making this trip such a wonderful experience.”

We had an absolutely amazing time!  We especially loved Salta and two hotels there:  La Finca Santana and Legato Mitico. I think it's my best vacation ever, but I'll fill out the form for you with details. Everything was really well done and it made our experience all the more pleasurable because we really had no worries. All the transfers were on time, with friendly drivers and comfortable cars. The welcome documentation was beautiful and helpful (although occasionally a bit out of date). The mix of free time and guided time was perfect.”

You really know how to design a travel experience. I have never had such a high quality experience. What boutique hotels you choose for my family in Argentina and Brazil ! We will definitely be back!"

Well, we had a TERRIFIC time........so much of it thanks to you. For openers, we had cabin # 1 on the boat, which was not only much larger than the "normal" cabin, but had a semi-private veranda of its own. We loved it! And I suspect you had something to do with us having that. Thank you.
As for the rest, it was everything I could have asked for. Having looked forward to this trip for around forty years (really!), it would have been easy for me to be disappointed somehow. Not for a second. Loved it all. Even the heat.
Thank you SO much for everything all along the way. When we make our plans to see Buenos Aires/Argentina (alas, probably not a for a year or two), you can be sure you'll be the first to know!"

We had a great time and all went very well. I must say we put this trip in your hands-sight unseen and trusted you. It was astonishing how smoothly everything went. They were all great [hotels}. Zero in Valparaiso. Legado Mitico in B.A. Explora in Torres de Paine."

Latin Excursions planned incredible variety for our trip to Chile. We spent our first day learning the history of Valparaiso. We then flew to Punta Arenas to catch our boat to Carlos Island where we spent 4 days. The Whale Sound crew and the scientist were extremely knowledgeable and willing to share at all times. We then started our journey to Torres de Paine were we climbed to the peaks which had been highly recommended by everyone we met. We were then off to the lake district. Puerto Varas, Chiloe and Petrohue were all places we could have spent more time exploring.

We would like to thank Latin Excursion for their help in making the trip include everything we asked for and helping it be financially realistic."

We have been home for two days and we are already talking about wanting to return to Ecuador. We had the time of our lives. I should also mention that the guides in Guayaquil and the Galapagos were excellent as well. They had a hard an act to follow but did a great job. One of the highlights was the   day to Santa Fe Island on Magic the boat owned by the royal Palms. We were treated like royalty and had an opportunity to snorkel in clear turquoise water with baby sea lions. Marine tortoises and millions of beautiful fish."

The hotels in Quito were the best of our trip. We arrived in Quito in the middle of the night due to an airline problem with weather. Needless to say we were more than a bit concerned driving in a strange country at 1 AM and pulling up in front of what looked like a warehouse in the glare of a street lamp, especially with the driver having some difficulty in finding the hotel. However, once the doors opened we could not believe our eyes. The Relicario del Carmen is a genuine little jewel, the refurbishment is without blemish and the whole place is spotless plus the staff were very attentive to our every need. The Patio Andaluz is truly awesome, our room was huge and the loft idea worked  out perfectly."

We had a wonderful time in Quito, Guayaquil and the Galapagos. The itinerary was seamless; the organization flawless. From the moment that we landed until the moment that we went inside the airport to return home we were escorted by capable individuals who were totally concerned about our well being. The Villa Colonna was a very special place - guests should feel lucky that they had an opportunity to stay there.

Firstly we would like to thank you for such a great job in putting the Galapagos and the Amazon trips together for us. Our compliments to you and all involved in making our trip a resounding success. We will most definitely contact you for our next foray to South America and will recommend you to all our friends.

In the Galapagos we had a guide for just the three of us, Jessica, and she really took great care of us. We cannot believe how lucky we are to have such a caring and energetic person overseeing our sojourn to the islands. The Red Mangrove people made a great effort to see that our stay with them was pleasant and worry free. The hotels were good and the rustic chalets on Floreana were very interesting to say the least. We really enjoyed the relative isolation for the night and the sun rise was terrific on the beach. We cannot adequately express our fascination with various flora and fauna that we a lifetime.

Sacha Lodge is very impressive, the location is without equal and the staff excelled in making us feel welcome. Our guide, Jarol, is one of the foremost naturalists in Ecuador and we were impressed with his knowledge of the jungle and his ability to impart this knowledge to us. Two days were certainly not long enough and only whetted our appetite for more of the same."

Greetings from the Van Alstine Woods family in Canada. We have been home for two days and we are already talking about wanting to return to Ecuador. We had the time of our lives and a greet deal of that has to do with your team. I can’t tell you how fantastic Erika Ramiro and Alexandra were. when we left them at the airport on Thursday it was a very sad day we felt that we were saying good by to family. Erika is a really gem she has passion for her country , an outgoing personality that you are immediately drawn to and a great sense of humor . Ramiro is a fantastic driver with a great sense of humor and a warm and welcoming personality that allowed us to develop a close relationship despite any language barrier. Ramiro and Erika were a tight team that worked so well together managing our every wish and desire. Each day we woke up knowing that the day would be full of fun and adventure.

Over our trip my sister Donna had some challenges with the altitude and the physical challenges of some of the hikes that the rest of the family were excited about . Erika and Ramiro made sure that Donna felt taken care of and the changes that results were not a problem. When she got quite ill in Riobamba Erika and Alexandra went into action and made adjustments to the itinerary that would work for both Donna and the rest of the family. Nothing was a bother. It was service that went way beyond the call of duty.

My children Cam and Olivia who are 17 and 14 loved Erika and Ramiro both interacted with them and took a real interest in what they wanted to do and what they did back in Vancouver. What impressed them the most was the fact that Ramiro took an evening when we could have gone back to his Hotel and relaxed and taught our family how to play 40? A skill that made our family a real hit when we were on the Explorer. With this skill my kids were invited to play 40 with the entire naturalist on the boat. They were very intrigued that they had a Canadian Family that not only knew the game but were quite skilled.

If you ever need anything from us please let us know. We have asked Erika to find out what type of medicine that Theresa needs and through connections that my sister has we may be able to help her.

Thank you so much for making this a trip of a life time"

We arrived home last night. We totally agree with your recommendation of the Integrity. It was a totally awesome experience………with the best guide imaginable, excellent food, great living conditions, and super crew. Thank you so much for all your help in creating an incredible experience for us. The pre-tours were excellent……..good guides and driver…….but our guide on the first day – Mindo butterfly/hummingbird day……….was REALLY special. Luis was SO good!

My wife, Felicia and I just came back from a 2 week vacation in Peru and Ecuador that we starting discussing with Eric Sheets of Latin Excursions travel agency over 1 year ago. I just wanted to provide you with some feedback about our trip and the tremendous assistance provided by Latin Excursions. In summary, it was SPECTACULAR!. We flew into Lima, Peru and then to the Amazon for a few days and stayed at Reserva Amazonica (what a wonderful experience). Next, we went to the Urubamba Valley staying a few nights at Sol y Luna and then off on the Hiram Bingham train to the highlight of the trip, Machu Pichu. It was beyond all expectations! After back to Cusco for a couple of nights, we then went to Quito to start the second week, which was onto the Galapagos Islands cruising on the Explorer II. We ended the trip back in Quito, first staying in a beautiful Hacienda outside of Quito and finally back to Quito for a wonderful evening before returning to NY.

We had very high expectations going onto to the trip and it exceeded everyone of them. Latin Excursions and their local agencies both in Peru and Ecuador did an outstanding job and the guides were not only extremely knowledgeable, but very personable and caring. The trip was one of, if not the most, complicated trip we have ever taken, given 9 different planes during the 2 weeks, boats, trains and packing and unpacking bags constantly. Latin Excursions assistance made the trip very easy from Day 1 until we returned home, especially given the transporters assistance, the drivers and particularly the guides, who all spoke English extremely well.

Latin Excursions was very complete in providing us with detailed itineraries, suggestions for packing, tips, etc and Eric Sheets was always very responsive and patient in answering our many, many pre-trip questions, so we felt very confident in what we needed to take and with an excellent sense of what to expect.

Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Latin Excursions for any Latin American travel."

I wanted to email you to thank you for a GREAT vacation. The Eclipse lived up to your recommendation.  And my wife Annie enjoyed her cabin SO MUCH that she did not have time to remember that she was living in a ship for a whole week.  Everything was excellent.  Especially the crew. You could feel that the guides were very well trained and that they enjoyed their work. Everyone was willing, able and happy to help you at any time.  We even established a good friendship with the captain."

Peru – We had a fabulous trip. Your operation exceeds what the big players due since it is so highly personalized. We encountered a major change of itinerary (thanks to a washed out landing strip) and your company (with your local staff) was able to find an alternative and arrange the logistical changes in less than 2 hours and for a group of 15 – that’s impressive. This is what separates the best from the rest, the ability to find a solution in times when there are few solutions to offer.
