Today’s agenda whisks you away in a privately guided “Winemaker’s Experience” in Mendoza, one of the greatest wine regions in the world. In the renowned Uca Valley, surrounded by the grandeur of the snow capped Andes, visit two vineyards and tour the grounds with the winemakers, participating in the process and sampling biodynamic wines from the barrel. Enjoy a 6-course lunch paired with wines at Andeluna Cellars, a state-of-the-art winery located on 200 acres of vineyards at the foothills of the Andes. Jewish Heritage Tour of Buenos Aires

This morning, enjoy your half-day privately guided Jewish Heritage tour of Buenos Aires (approx. 4 hrs). Buenos Aires has the third largest Jewish community in the world; this active social group of Argentines has left its traces in its culture from the very beginning. You will follow the traces and traditions while visiting the Jewish neighborhood of Once, and in an informal way you will be in touch with the anonymous Jewish businessmen (mostly owners of the small shops in the area) who will explain to you all of the benefits and turmoil of living in Buenos Aires. This visit will mostly be a sightseeing tour with our guides introducing the lives of this important Argentine community. Then return to your hotel and have the afternoon at leisure to explore the city further independently.

This morning, your guide will be privately transfer you to the port in Buenos Aires to take your Buquebus ferry to Montevideo.

On arrival, you will pick up your rental car (not included, booked directly). Drive up the coast to Jose Ignacio (approx. 2.5 hours), stopping along the way as desired.

Suggestion: Stop in Pueblo Eden for lunch, then visit Altos de la Ballena Winery or Viña Eden Winery for a tour and tasting. Continue to the famous “Casapueblo,” built by the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró, in Punta Ballena. The building itself is a work of art but we also recommend visiting the museum, a great place to enjoy a sunset drink or coffee. Afterwards, drive approx. 50 minutes to arrive at Estancia Vik. Settle into your Suite and spend the evening as you please.

Today, drive to the sleepy village of Garzon, also known as the “Uruguayan Tuscany”—an oasis of charm and gastronomic excellence. Upon arrival, enjoy a visit to Colinas de Garzon olive plantations and Garzon Winery, with tasting included. Explore the olive plantations and extra virgin olive oil boutique production plant, where you learn about the origin of this product and the elaboration process, while appreciating wonderful views at the same time. Taste rich wines and olive oils, offered with selective cheese and homemade bread. When ready, drive back to Jose Ignacio.
